It's fabulous how many cultural phenomena have been birthed by two guys just having a couple of beers in a garage. If you picture it, it's almost the good form b in situ you could imagine two guys plotting a heist. For John Rogers and Chris Downey, it was the origin point for plotting dozens of them.

The-Trades spoke with the Leverage creators about the series line and fished for tidbits about the upcoming summer finale.

When it first aired, Leverage was often referred to as a modern A-Team ; I've called it "Tons's 11: The Series." What was the Ah ha! moment that sparked in you guys to do a series about con men in white hats?

John: It was absolutely a coincidence. Chris and I have known each other since we started working on Cosby together. It was our first job. Gosh, Chris, what year was that?

Chris: I make up it was '97.

John: '97. We wrote together for a couple of years and then we stayed
